At ITC.International, we are committed to providing coaching at no cost to all children irrespective of their age, race, and religion.
At ITC, we thrive to create a healthy and safe training environment for our athletes. Although coaches from different backgrounds are welcome to work with ITC, due to the unique demands of demographics, ITC coaches are trained in-house.
If you are interested in coach with ITC at its international locations, please feel free to email us at trackandfield@itc.international. We are currently developing our curriculum to have it available online, very soon.
Qualities of our athletics coaches:
Knowledge of the sport of track and field. We encourage our coaches to educate themselves from time to time with the current trends of our evolving sport of athletics. A coach should be updating their courses with the ITC course library every year.
Coach-Athlete Relationship. It is very important at ITC.International to have a clear understanding of the Coach and Athlete relationship. A coach is not a teacher yet a Guru and an athlete is not only a sports person yet a disciple. However, mutual respect, understanding, and the creation of a common goal are encouraged.
Communication skills. A coach should not only be able to communicate the workout to the athlete but also be able to sense and judge the unique mental and physical requirements of the athlete. All athletes have different learning styles and they adapt to training differently.
Commitment and Flexibility. Great coaches and athletes commit to their work. Nothing comes without consistency. Any workout or training plan, athlete needs, workout design requires tremendous effort and time, a great coach should be willing to spend time.
Collaboration. Great coaches have understood that collaborating with athletes, their parents, managers, and other clubs can produce great results. Greet collaborations keep coaches, parents, organizations, and athletes motivated to work harder for their athletic improvement.
Discipline. A great coach is disciplined. Since he is required to be a great leader. He can only demand discipline from athletes in track and field if he himself leads by example
