BERLIN, Germany: Berlin Marathon 2021 Result Men’s and Women’s races were won by Guye Adola (ETH) and Gotytom Gebreslas(ETH) respectively. Favourite Kenenisa Bekele finished third.
Gotytom Gebreslase, who was running her debut marathon, won the women’s race in two hours, twenty minutes, 09 seconds (02:20:09), while Ethiopian team mate Hiwot Gebrekidan finshied second to her in 02:21:23, and third place was also taken by an Ethiopian, Helen Tola in 2:23:05 making it a clean sweep for Ethiopia at World Class Patinum event.
To win men’s marathon, Guye Adola ran 2:05:45, Kenyan Bethwel Yegon ran a time of 2:06:14 for second place and 2016 & 2019 BMW Berlin Marathon Champion, Kenenisa Bekele finished third in 2:06:47
