The sprint nation United States fails to win a Gold medal at any sprint for men.

Absolutely unexpected from a sprint machine US to not win any Gold medal in men’s track and field sprint events. In men’s 100m, the event was won by Marcell Jacobs of Italy (Supposedly Italian), 200m was won by Andre De Grasse of Canada, 400m was won by Bahamian Steven Gardiner. Moreover, men’s 110m hurdles Gold medal also goes to Jamaican Hansle Parchment. Oops, men’s 4X100m US relay team failed to advance to the final due to various reasons.

What a disastrous Olympics for US Sprint squad.

Despite not winning a Gold medal in the sprint events, the weight of the country was on the shoulders of Fred Kerley who won a Silver medal in 100m, Noah Lyles who won a bronze medal in 200m, Grant Holloway for winning a silver medal in 110m hurdles and Kenny Bednarek for winning a Silver medal.

But why did USA fail to dominate the sprints?

Would you like to know what is my take on why USA failed to win Gold medal all around? Stay tuned.
