Track and Field at Tokyo Olympics is finally on its way. It is day 1 for Athletics and the day starts with Steeplechase rounds, 800m rounds, 100m, and a few fields events. The full list of events can be checked below. The drama at Track and Field starts with a shocker from Ethiopia when we see their Aces listed in Steeplechase, Getnet Wale, and Lemecha Girma. Wale was “supposedly” listed for 5000m only and Girma was “not on the team” until we see the start list. The presence of these two great steeplechasers changes the equation not only for Kenyans but also for those who wanted to make it to the finals.
The inclusion of Girma in the Ethiopia team depicts how dedicated Ethiopians are
to take the Crown from Kenyans. Will they be able to do that? The time will tell in a few days.
