A mistake on the part of the “Officials” to get US 4X400m mixed relay team DQ’d
The heavy favourites for the Gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, US 4X400m mixed relay team was earlier disqualified for an infraction that was on the part of the officials who told three athletes to stand at the wrong line. Two athletes corrected themselves shortly but the US athlete on the second leg stood at the spot for baton exchange. As a result, US mixed relay team was disqualified. However, upon protest, the USA has been reinstated and would appear in Saturday’s final.
